Le Mans Classic 2023 and Osca MT4 ex Le Mans 1954

Le Mans Classic reminds us why we love historic cars so much...
We could not contain our excitement as we're about to live out a young boys dream. We finished Le Mans classic 50th overall driving the #42 Osca MT4 and 3rd in class.

A big day started for us on the 29th of June. The first training sessions of Le Mans Classic got underway. What an amazing car party this was: racing, watching many friends in action on the track and - of course - speaking with many friends old and new. As far as we are concerned, this event could last for 2 weeks. The weekend was superbly organized, the car ran like a dream and the team was the best ever!

As we took our place on the grid, surrounded by an eclectic mix of vintage sports cars, the tension was tangible. The OSCA MT4, stood out among the classics, a reminder of the golden era of motorsport. It was a car that exuded character that had once already had a taste of the hallowed asphalt of Le Mans. Driving on the Mulsanne Straight, I couldn’t help but imagine the historic battles that had unfolded on this very famous part of the racetrack.

The Le Mans Classic of 2023 wasn’t just a race; it was a time machine that transported the VSOC team to an era when racing was as much about passion as it was about speed.
Crossing the finish line in the OSCA was a moment of triumph and reverence, a testament to the enduring legacy of Le Mans and the enduring appeal of classic racing. Thanks to the VSOC team with help of our mechanic Jorrit we’re able to finish Le Mans classic without any big problems. A big day started for us on the 29th of June.. Alex: ‘When I first visited Le Mans Classic in 2002 I could not have imagined to be racing here myself, especially with such an important piece of history, it was a dream come true!’

Mark and Alex drove Mark’s O.S.C.A MT4 1100 ex-Le Mans 1954 in Plateau 2 and they achieved a nice result: 3rd in class and the best placed O.S.C.A.
