25 years of the well known Dutch concours, now for the first time at the Marienwaerdt estate. Marienwaerdt estate turned out to be a fantastic new location for this event!
In the blink of an eye summer has nearly ended. And so have many of the events we participated in passed quickly but the memories remain forever! 25 years of the well known Dutch concours, now for the first time at the Marienwaerdt estate. Many nice cars, many friends new and old. Alex and Rogier are pleased to be part of the Jury. This year we celebrated 70 years of Mercedes 300 SL and what a pleasure to see some unrestored or only partly restored 300 SL in the class. And one of the 6 Racecars Mercedes developed and one that went to Le Mans!
Apart from the Concours, there was a sprint rally and a trial for pre-war cars. If you did not visit please make a note to come next year! Check the pictures to see our fellow judge Harm Lagaay, next to the Porsche 959. He worked at and designed Porsche and told us, back in the days, he received a 959 to commute daily. Great memories! The 2024 Best of Show Winner of the 25th Dutch Concours d’Elegance was the fantastic 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Speciale Aerodinamica!
In between we had the Formula One at Zandvoort which was a great success (not so much for ‘our’ Max Verstappen) and a charity rally in which we participated with our 1937 Bentley. So busy weekends. Now we have another charity rally coming up. The student organized KWF rally against cancer. Let’s hope we have good weather!
